A BOOMERANG

When I was in high school and my first year in college, I used to sit and write poetry. While cleaning out some old papers, I found some of those original handwritten memories. I thought I'd share.

When a bit of sunshine hits you
After passing of a cloud
When a fit of laughter gits you
And your spine is feeling proud,

Don't forget to up and fling it
At a soul that's feeling blue
For the minute that you sling it
It's a boomerang to you.

When a cloudy day has left you
With an outlook of dismay
When you feel the world's against you
And hope seems so far away

Just look me up and I will do
The best I can to cheer you
I'll make you laugh and then you too
Will feel the world is with you.
