When I asked Mr. Austria why he didn't do as Sherrod Brown and Dennis Kucinich had done and REFUSE his health care coverage until all other U.S. citizens received the same kind of health care, a well-known local citizen screamed at me to "Shut up and SET down." I responded that I was not going to shut up or SIT down! [I doubt if he understood the correction!] When I expressed concern about pre-existing conditions, another resident flippantly told me just to get another insurance policy if one were turned down for a pre-existing condition! I told him that he was ignorant because the insurance companies won't cover pre-existing conditions! For some reason, he was offended that I told him he was ignorant; I told him that he needed to consult a dictionary as the meaning of ignorant was "without knowledge"! Another resident began talking about the dangers of President's "czars". I stood up and asked if he had complained about the czars under Nixon, Reagan and the Bushes. A woman said she didn't want the school children "indoctrinated" by the President speaking to them. I stood up and asked if she had complained when Reagan, Bush, Clinton and Bush 2 had done the EXACT same thing!

Always remember the reasons we were kept from having a school built for 10 years; that we do not have fluoride in our water; we do not have a beer-bottling plant in our community; that the country club, swimming pool, skating rink, theater, restaurants, etc. were kept segregated until the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Because it takes so long to enforce laws, many of the establishments continued to be segregated for a long time!

It's the very same reason that someone would be passing around a petition to repeal our law which we have tried to pass for 60 years! You can put lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig!Sue's Newshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16545945070223046109noreply@blogger.com
